Hyperspin Project Torrent List

Hi there, I recently downloaded a bunch of rom collections from the hyperspin proect torrents, but upon setting all my hyper HQ and hyperlaunch HQ settings and paths, Don;s list generator gives me a completely no game list, some show up as having art that I downloaded but still shows to games. I checked, and the games are all the same names as don's list, under the same directories, the roms are even unnasosiated to any programs are are just as their default file type. I'm still going through in detail that i have all the pthas set up, bbut is there anything else I can change to get them to read all my roms? The renamer picks up roms, renames them to the exact same thing, yet the list generator still can't pick them up.

HyperlaunchHQ Audit games shows that I have games in at least my sega master system but doesn't show games in the extra wheels I added myself. I don't know what any of it means or how to get it all working.

Yes, it is time consuming. I've worked on mine for one year and a half and it's never complete. I have a full time job so I do it only on weekends I'm not busy with other IRL stuff.

It's never complete because I often do want to add one system, then another I've not yet tackled. With the subcription to Emumovies AND Hyperspin (they're separate!) you get all the medias you'll ever need, and it's often updated. HyperSync Cloud makes it fairly easy to sync your setup with the stuff on Emumovies and Hyperspin sites.

For systems not completely supported yet (because there's still no agreement on which romset to use, on naming convention etc.) you'll have to search through the Hyperspin FTP. It's got a whole ton of stuff but you'll have to search for it. It's kind of like visiting a convention and goign from booth to booth, hunting for something rare like that particular art you need to complete your Nintendo DS setup, for example. It depends on how many systems you want to add though. Setting up just MAME for arcade is easy and straightforward. Other systems can be a bit troublesome.

In any case, don't hesitate asking for help on the official forums, everyone's pretty helpful. Thanks for your response. I'll look a little deeper. I've been interested in the project for quite some time, I just haven't had time. I was more interested in systems like NES, SNES, SEGA, Gameboy color/Gameboy Advance, etc.

I also think I'd rather see the game's cover come up instead of the video, is that possible? I know it's time consuming. Maybe it's a project to tackle in a couple of years when I've got some feet set under me. I just finished school, working in my field, and getting a ridiculous amount of hours. But I've kept my old job because the hours are guaranteed and I just can't give it up until I know I'm set. Last week alone, I worked 73 hours, lol. There is something out there called the 'Hyperspin Project - Frontend' torrent (if you know how to use them) with basic media ( a sub to emumovies will get better media) that has Hyperspin set up and ready to move with several wheels pre-configued to look nice.

It made for a nice starting point for me. It has way more than what I want and is a bit out of date now but I have been able to trim out what I don't want rather than build up from scratch. I am also just starting out in this and found it to be faster for me.
